Sally, born in Kuwait in 1989, moved to the Netherlands with her family at the age of eight. She has been painting since childhood. “Drawing was my world. If my parents couldn’t find me, I was in my room with paper and colored pencils.”

After graduating from the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam, Sally took a different path and distanced herself from art. In 2022, she began painting again under the guidance of The Hague-based artist Victor Hoefnagel (Pied-à-Terre). “Victor is a true master. In his studio, I further developed my skills, and my passion for painting was reignited.”

Last fall, Sally, together with four other artists, hosted an exhibition, with a second one planned for this year. The world of the little girl came to life—but this time, she embarked on a bigger adventure.
