LICHT EN BEWEGING (Light and Movement):
The exhibition explored light and movement. Each artist gave their own interpretation of the theme. I was particularly interested in the woman of today. A woman who keeps dreaming, with her head in the clouds. Always on the move, faster than light, yet so calm.

She is ready to pick a flower and place it gently in her bag. She looks up and creates imaginary stories in the clouds, as if she could pierce one with a needle and make it hold, if only for a moment. The light that shines through her reflects her personality and presence. She is the woman I admire so much.

WHISPERS OF LIGHT
A Dialogue Between Memory and Hope.

This exhibition focused on shared stories and history. The opening began with a poetry dialogue titled ‘Where Is Home?’

Home was always summertime,
endless laughter, endless play.
Endless games in glowing heat,
we children raced with dusty feet,
our laughter echoing down the street.

Lights went out in Baghdad’s night,
yet stars glowed bold, in silver light.
On rooftops we lay side by side,
the darkness had no place to hide.

Home lingered under orange trees,
soft laughter carried by the breeze.

The scent of Samoon, soft and round,
the warmest memory I ever found,
my mother pressing dough with gentle hands,
my father baking as the morning stands.

Now home is miles and miles afar,
yet memory stays… a silent star.
Like a passenger who stands alone,
for a train that will not lead him home.
to the place that runs inside my veins,
the home my eyes won’t see again.

For when one eyelid closes tight,
another opens to the light.

Here, little voices fill these halls,
small fingerprints on frames and walls.
mornings rising loud and bright,
two small hearts taking flight,
and in the laughter rushing in,
I feel my blessings touch my skin.

Unspoken words in whispered streams,
colouring rooms with old daydreams.

Home… a melody I still can hear,
played softly through each passing year.
No matter where my footsteps start,
its gentle rhythm holds my heart.

NATURE MORTE
This exhibition reflects on the meaning of the still life in our time. Traditionally a genre about beauty, attention and transience, the still life becomes here a way to look at the world we live in today. In a time marked by ecological fragility, global tensions and questions about responsibility, these works invite the viewer to pause and observe more closely.

Objects and everyday forms appear not only as symbols of beauty, but also as quiet witnesses of human choices, a choice of care, consumption, loss and hope. Through painting, ceramics and other visual works, the exhibition explores the fragile relationship between humans and the natural world.
